A place for embroidery people to meet

A few weeks ago, in a weekend swap meet near my home, I found, a box containing 28 blocks of a hand made quilt, plus extra fabric, thread, needles, patterns and everything that was needed to finish the quilt. It was on sale for 3 bucks. The guy who was selling it, had not idea what it was. I think he though it was just a bunch of worthless pieces of fabric. I bought it and now I'm joining the blocks by hand. Inside the box there was also a strip of one inch pieces sewed three in a row, I think with the intention of using it as a ornament around the blocks. I'm very excited with this project. When I'm done, I will post photos of the quilt.

What a wonderful find! I, however, would not have the patience to hand sew it together. I will keep an eye out for the finished photos.
