I remember thinking, (as I was watching the demonstration of the Singer Futura by Ruth, the Singer lady, while she was pointing out to me all the 'bells and whistles' of the machine) who needs all those fancy bits?
What needlewoman can't thread a needle, or know when the thread has broken, or the bobbin has run out?

New Sewing Room - at last!

Until now I've always had my sewing machine in the spare bedroom and pulled out the stuff I need when I've needed it. Being a spare bedroom the biggest flat surface is, of course, the bed! So it gets covered with my spreading out the thread boxes, fabric, etc. until the duvet is almost lost completely.

I did promise ages ago to post some of my travel photos. We flew into Delhi which has so many trees you can hardly see it from the air. It is meant...Wild weather.
