that would be great I am one of those people that has to read it and see it because sometimes stuff is really hard to hoop lol makes me so darn mad

Sorry VelvaDawn...lol sometimes I am slow.... I'm not sure if you can find online instructions on how to do it... I just sorta learned by trial and error... I don't know if this is the "right way" ... but this is how I do it... I choose the type of stabilizer that is suitable for what I am going to embroider on. then I hoop only the stabilizer... I use spray adhesive and spray the hooped stabilizer... then place the item/fabric accordingly.. I hope that helps... if you would like a couple of pictures I'm sure I could come up with a couple for you... to show you how I do mine... Hope that helped!!

thats what I am looking for tinker is stitching without hooping just didnt know the right terms

Heya, sorry Shari... I've not done any continues boarders... I don't know anything about that... there must be a video online somewhere to help learn... I do a lot of stitching without hooping, but have never heard of anyone stitching without a top hoop ("not hoop with the top hoop"... that one is beyond me too.... sorry... I have a 'thing' for putting designs in the corners of items...hubby's hankies, napkins.. that sort of thing... So sorry I couldn't help out...

Welcome Tubby, Hope that they got your machine fixed for you. I haven't found Brothers very helpful when I have had problems with their Brother's dealer in Rapid City, so it doesn't surprise me that they are taking a bit. The Brother's dealer in Rapid city had my machine, took it apart and cleaned it and when I got it back, it worked for a couple weeks and broke down. Since the warrantee was just done, I took it into the Sewing Center and found that when the Brother's dealer cleaned my machine he didn't regrease the insides. When I called Brother's up and complained about their dealer, they asked if I was charged for the oiling along with the cleaning. ??? Doesn't oiling come along with cleanings automatically? Other then that I have had positive experences with my Brother's.

well i have a brother 700e and it been it the shop for repair and i say it been there for 3 month and still waiting for it hope this friday it will come home it been waiting for a part that has to come from japan so they say i have been very upset about it .So i rang and told them that if it was not here by than i was taken it fair trading to so what they could do about it . Because this day age you should not have to wait so long to have thing fix . ps hope this friday coming i can do my embroidery again.

I would like to know that as well I would also like to learn how to not hoop with the top hoop have heard some people talk about it but cant picture it. PS..Only a few more days till I can have the house down to one Alpha female (YAY)

I don't know anything about the continuous borders. JJ have you done any continuous borders that you can tell us the easiest way to do them without rehooping?
