A place for embroidery people to meet

Kathleen Gatterdum

what do you use as a editing program for embroidery

I love my Futura Sewing/ Embroidery Machine but I have found that my editing dligitizing software is limited-  I can adjust jump points only in the digitizer but hard to see as you can not enlarge viewer so that you can see what the order actually is.  The editing software does not let you adjust jump points or add stitches.

Can anyone tell me what they are using that they are able to do

these things with?

I would greatly appreciate your oppinions, I really don't want to spend a fortune on a whole new program.

I need a good lettering program too..lol Some day it will be so much easier to figure all this out. I think a lot use embird for digitizing and editing.

I very between my Embird and 4D embroidery but I think thats because I have been using my 4D longer and don't know all the ends and outs of Embird yet but I learn something new everyday. You can join SewForum.com and see what they have to say under digitizing programs. Great place and great group lots of free designs. Sandy

I use only Embird, Embird Studio, and Melco Letera. Great programs, reasonably priced.

How do you like the results of Embird digitizer and editior? Does the file have to be almost perfect to get a good digitizing( like my singer digitizer) or is it a better digitizing program? Can you add stitches and edit jump points?

I use a couple of things. One is SewWhatPro that lets you add lettering to your designs. The other is Sierra's Visual Stitch & Print which is free. For digitizing I use Sierra's Stitch Era Universal.
